Blue Curve has today launched it's new Web Services interface for document components.  Document components allow content and data to be highly formatted and used within any document throughout the Blue Curve platform.  Until today, the effective use of components required the content or data to be stored within one of the Blue Curve modules.

With the launch of this new feature, system managers can create components within the BluePrint administration tool, which connect to an external data source using Web Services to update their data and content.  The new feature does not require the movement of the data from the source system to Insight or Create, improving the consistency of data and removing another step from the production process.

The new feature was beta-tested by ABG Sundal Collier, as they integrated Create with their existing financial database.  The feaure was highly praised, particularly it's connection speed and ease-of-use.  The new feature is now released to all customers and will be installed in the next upgrade cycle.
